Award, Certificate and Diploma in Business and Administrative Management

The IQ IAM Level 5 Diploma in Business and Administrative Management is aimed at administrative and business managers at middle to senior level, providing them with the knowledge, skills and understanding for working at this level.

The Qualification is based on the IAM’s definition of administrative management, namely that the administrative management function supports organisations in planning, organising, directing and controlling their activities across all functional areas. Administrative management and administrative managers have a key role in

The Qualification explores how organisations design and operate internal structures and systems which support these goals.

The Learning Journey

When you learn with LRI Education you are going to benefit from our experience and expertise in helping people learn in a way that fits in with the demands of an already busy life. You’ll learn at your own pace, at times and places that suit you whilst being supported by a tutor and other people on the programme with you. You’ll gain the knowledge and understanding you need to pass any assessments via webinars, online learning materials, forum discussions, webinars and one to one support from your tutor. Throughout this experience there are a few key milestones along the way that are outlined below so that you can see what your overall learning journey is going to look and feel like.

Getting on to a programme that’s right for you

One of the first things that we will ask you to do is to fill in a short form and tell us a little bit about yourself. There are two main reasons for this, one is to make sure the right information about you to enable us to enrol you into the virtual campus. The other reason is to make sure that you end up on a programme that’s appropriate for you that’s matched to your experience and aspirations.

Once registered, you’ll receive your unique log-in details, a welcome pack and be notified of the date for your induction.

This is where you are formally inducted on to the programme. During an online webinar your tutor will introduce themselves and talk you through the programme as well as explaining how to use the virtual campus to access your learning materials, upload assignments, take part in forums etc.

You’ll also get to ‘meet’ the other people on your programme via the webinar.

Learning - developing your knowledge and understanding

Whatever you’re studying you’ll find all the resources that you need at your fingertips. Learning content will be structured matching the different elements of the qualification that you’re studying.

Whilst you have freedom to choose when and where you study you need to make sure that you plan your time. This is particularly important as far as the event based elements of the programme are concerned, most notably the webinars that the tutor will run to introduce each new topic area. It’s absolutely vital that you attend these as they will help you to understand what you need to do to meet any assessment requirements.

It’s also worth noting that your tutor may set deadlines for you to submit work by. To ensure that you maintain progress through the programme you will need to make sure that you complete and submit your work on time. If you ever find yourself in the position where you won’t be able to meet a deadline let your tutor know as early possible so that you can identify any additional support that could help you and agree a new deadline for completion with you.

Your tutor will post discussion topics in the forum as well as providing additional resources to help you. Make sure you participate in the webinars, take time to read and contribute to forum discussions and make use of your tutor if you need any support.

You are in charge of your own learning and ultimately, progress, throughout the duration of the programme so you need to manage yourself and your time here to make sure that you can work your way through the material and get yourself ready to complete the assessment for that part of the programme – typically this takes the form of a written assignment. When writing your assignments make sure that you fully understand the assessment requirements and follow the guidance on writing assignments in your learner handbook.

Celebrate your success

When you have completed all of the assessments we will carry out some quality assurance checks (this is part of our on-going quality management and ensures that we meet the requirements of the organisations that provide the qualifications) and then complete the process of getting you the certificate for your qualification.

When you get your certificate celebrate! Show it to people, frame it and put it up on the wall so you get the recognition you deserve for applying yourself and putting the time and effort to achieve a qualification.

This is where you will feel justifiably proud of your achievement. After all, you’ll be joining an elite group.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. However, you must be able to demonstrate appropriate experience at the necessary level and have a good command of English.

LRI will support and guide you every step of the way to ensure that you are choosing the right choice of programme.
